Villa Toscana's five acres of pristine tropical forest are bordered by the Rio Cedros and, together with neighboring properties, form a private nature reserve that is virtually inaccessible to the public.

The property is a natural wildlife corridor  connecting the mountains above  to the jungles and estuary at Playa Cedros, where the river meets the ocean.

This untouched, protected habitat is home to several families of howler and white-faced Capuchin monkeys, coatimundis, kinkajous, and many other species.

Green parrots, toucanets, and numerous other species of birds are regular visitors to Villa Toscana.

A private "sendero" (footpath) leads from the villa and descends beneath the jungle canopy to the river below.

There, a magical environment awaits, where visitors can explore waterfalls and pools in complete seclusion, so near yet so far from the region's very popular but sometimes crowded tourist destinations.
